2008 Central States Meeting

See you in Kansas City on July 10, 11, and 12, 2008

The 10th annual gathering dates are July 10, 11, and 12, 2008 - Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Thursday will be an informal evening at the home of Courtney Sloan and Gloria Dobbs (Directions will be at the host hotel; if you are coming straight to the house ask for advance directions).Tours will be from 4 to 7 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. in the neighborhood Clubhouse. Ideally, you will allow yourself Thursday for some sightseeing of the area (list of suggested areas to follow). Also, a list of antique stops en route will be forthcoming.

$85.00 a night for one of two people per room also includes continental breakfast.  All rooms are suites with a king bed or a double double (two standard beds). Toll free reservations: 1-888-492-8847 SPECIFY OVERLAND PARK CONVENTION CENTER when making the reservation (there is another Hyatt Place in the area !) Group block is EAPGS. Reservations with the hotel must be made by June 10, 2008. After that the rate will be granted only if available.

The complete itinerary will be sent shortly after May 10 -- next month. The itinerary will include the Overland Park Antique Show and time for you to tour several notable sights PLUS we are attempting to coordinate a live auction from members estates PLUS a performer is coming (we ask that you bring your EAPG cologne bottles-- please mark with your name; they will be on display) AND Jim and Phyllis Petcoff will present a program on penny dippers!

Marvel or marvels -- there will also be a display of Kansas and Missouri AND a silent auction -- maximum of 10 items, please, as space could be tight.

The Eastern States Region

of the

Early American Pattern Glass Society


Thursday, October 16, 2008 through Saturday, October 18, 2008
at the “The Place Off the Square” Hotel in Newark, Ohio.


The meeting begins on Thursday evening with an informal member-gathering and concludes on Saturday with a luncheon and visit to the Heisey Museum. Tom Bredehoft, nationally known author and glass expert, will speak on “Ohio Glass History.” In addition, Mike Clum is planning an EAPG auction on Thursday, October 16, in nearby Rushville, Ohio.
